The Symposium will be held at Smolenice Castle. The village of Smolenice with the well-known Smolenice Castle is situated at the foot of Male Karpaty mountains, 60 km northwest from Bratislava. The Castle shelters the Congress Centre of the Slovak Academy of Sciences.
The official language of the Symposium is English. Simultaneous translation of lectures will not be provided.
MAIN TOPICS OF THE SYMPOSIUM
Topics of the symposium approach, both directly and indirectly, the symposium title. The general theme of the symposium is focused on the research data obtained in humans and animals under stress conditions. Next important research field to be included into the program concerns stress-related pathological states.
The first topic includes new knowledge advancing the understanding of the pathophysiology, treatment, and prevention of stress-related diseases without the requirement that the research directly approaches the stress response.
The second topic includes broad aspects of synthesis, release, action and relevant interactions connected with neurotransmitters, neuropeptides, hormones and other regulatory substances involved in the stress response as well as the negative or positive consequences of stress exposure.
Symposium package will be 890 EUR for active participants and 600 EUR for accompanying persons. Symposium package will include all expenses during the Symposium:
- accommodation for 4 nights
- full board for the time of the symposium
- registration fee and conference materials
- welcome and farewell parties
- participation in all social events during the symposium
- transport from Bratislava to Smolenice and back
